Greetings,
There is currently an issue with the UK Met Office API which can (but doesn't always) result in a failure to retrieve a weather forecast. I have raised a support ticket with the Met Office support team and I am awaiting a reply. Other users of this data have reported the same issue, so it's not just affecting Compu-Tron x3000. Once I receive an update, I will post again here with the details.
Regards

Update 10/06/2025: I'm working on switching to a different Met Office API service for the weather data as the current one will be retired at the end of this year (and the current support for it is basically non-existent). I will upload a new version as soon as I have completed dev and testing. There will be some changes in the data output as the newer API service holds some different data items, but no functionality will be lost.

Update 16/06/2025: This release includes use of a new API for the weather app in Compu-Tron x3000. Data previously provided by the Met Office DataPoint service is now delivered by Met Office DataHub. This will enable the app to be used for longer as the previous service is being retired at the end of 2025.
The new service provides additional data items in weather forecasts which have been included in Compu-Tron x3000. A larger library of location data has also been included in order to provide forecasts for more locations within the UK.
Great game! Looking forward to finding out what's *really* going on at C. Tech. Thanks for making it!
NOTE: Download/install from the itch.io website and NOT from the itch.io app. Console applications do not launch from the app. See the README.txt file for more details.
